Sienna and mornings

Sienna is not a morning person. She basically has to be left alone until at least 30 minutes after she wakes up. Approach her with caution.

Tessa loves to draw. Today she used her outside chalk to draw on the patio post outside.

Car Show

Andres loves to go to car shows. We went to San Dimas today and I think it was the hottest day of the year. We walked the streets and looked at some really nice cars along the way. This was his favorite car.

Tonight was the girls first bone-fire. We were at Huntington Beach and the girls enjoyed watching the fire light and playing in the sand.

Poncho Sanchez

We went to a Poncho Sanchez concert this evening at the park. It was awesome. The girls had a great time and were dancing around like crazy.

Water Park

The girls went to a water park today with their class. They had such a wonderful time. Sienna was a bit scared at first because the water was a bit cold. However, after watching the kids run around and seeing her Big sister have a blast she joined in on the fun too.

It has been so hot these last few days. We decided to play with the water table today and see how long we could last outside. I think we were playing for about 15 minutes.

First Pony Ride

Today at the Monrovia Farmers Market, Sienna rode her first pony ride. She has been scared to do it for a while and today she said she wanted to try it out. I placed her on and she didn't object. She was so happy and waved hello each time she passed us by. Our baby is growing up.

Sienna is an artist. She loves to create things. At school, she decided to use her body to create some wild artwork with her hands. Her Daddy took this picture and I loved it so much, I had to have it on my blog.

Abuela and Tessa

Abuela and Tessa went on a train ride thru Victoria Gardens. They had such a great time and Tessa loved all the bumps.

Summer School

Tessa and Sienna return Mrs. Nancy's class for a few weeks of Summer School. They were so excited to see their teacher again after 2 weeks off.

Hurst Ranch celebration

We had breakfast this morning at the Hurst Ranch in West Covina. The Rotary club was putting on a community breakfast. It was alot of fun and the girls enjoyed walking the farm and seeing all the vegetables in their garden. We found this old car and took a family photo.

Happy 4th of July

Fireworks! It was a long day hanging out with the family at a BBQ and going swimming. The girls were dead tired because they did not take a nap all day. Andres really wanted to see fireworks so we put the girls in their pjs and off we went.

Tessa was out before we turned the corner and Sienna was still awake wondering where we were going. We watched the firework show in West Covina and they were so loud I thought for sure, Tessa would wake up and Sienna was going to scream like crazy.

Neither happened.

Sienna just watched with a cautious eye and loved every minute of it from her car seat. The fireworks were so loud that is set off all the car alarms around us. It lasted for about 20 minutes and in the end Sienna said, "More fireworks!"

La Puente Park tradition

Andres has been coming to La Puente Park every year from the time he was a kid to see the fireworks in the park the day before the 4th of July. We have been going since we started dating and Tessa and Sienna started going since they were born.

This year the girls are a bit older and could really take in the show. Tessa was in awe and Sienna was a bit scared at first but then gradually enjoyed the fireworks in the sky. In the end she said, "Fireworks? More Fireworks!" even though she hid her face in my chest the whole time.

Idealab BBQ

At work today, we celebrated the 4th of July. We had a very special BBQ that was cooked and made to order by our facilities department. We also had a "Bake-Off" in which employees contributed to the yummy desserts. It was a lot of fun and but a lot of work. People had some really amazing desserts.

Singing in the Car

Sienna loves to hear music in the car. Her favorite song right now is by Santana called Foo Foo. When she hears it, she kicks her feet in the air and starts to bounce.
