An Idea
Tessa had an idea tonight. After dinner, she said lets have ice cream. Then she said that she wanted vanilla and her Daddy wants chocolate. Her sister Sienna, doesn't want any. However, Sienna said, "Chocolate, Chocolate!"

Zebra
Tessa has a friend named is Zebra. This stuffed animal is almost as important as Jackpop. This morning she woke up and asked me where is Zebra was. I had no idea. We looked all over for him. He was no where to be found. Suddenly she Tessa remembered that he was in the truck. So she asked her Daddy to please look. Once he was found Tessa was so happy. She grabbed him and said, "Zebra, where have you been all my life."

An Herb Garden
Last night my Mom hosted a "Girls Night Out" at Home Depot. It is teaching women how to do certain items taught by women. Afterwards, we go to the local restaurant and have a happy hour with the group. The first session was about gardening and we made a herb garden. It was fairly easy. You need a plant box, soil and a few herbs. Plant each herb a few inches apart and plant the herb with about 1 inch sticking out of the soil. To avoid bugs in your garden, have a few magnolias around. I had a great nice time and I think next month is all about electrical.

Follow Me
Sienna is always looking to her big sister Tessa. She follows her every where and want to do everything she is doing. If she is eating something, Sienna will grab it and try to take it from her. Sienna has a pretty bad temper and Tessa is a bit more relaxed. Sienna loves to roll on her sister when they are in bed during story time. Tessa gets so frustrated but she takes it like a true big sister and says, "Sienna isn't listening."

Cranberry Juice
Today the girls had to get blood tests. They each had blood drawn from their arms. Andres took them and also held them as the nurse drew their blood. Sienna cried and then watched as her blood went though the tube. Tessa was nervous and cried when the needle went in but she really screamed when she saw the blood being taken. She said to her Daddy, "NO! NO! She is taking my cranberry juice!" Funny how kids associate things. In the car, she was drinking cranberry juice just before she got to the doctors office. All her Daddy could say is we have more at home.

A box
Sienna's favorite toy right now is this empty box. It was a box of oranges. However, Sienna managed to take each orange out and make this box her own. She loves it. She plays with it everyday. She will sit in it, place items in it, eat her snack in it and she even tries to have Bailey eat snacks out of it. It is always a wonder to me the kids find things that we disregard as trash so appealing.

Rainbow in Traffic
It has been raining in So. California. As I was driving to work and stopped in traffic, I could not resist this picture. It was a rainbow just off the freeway with the mountain as the background. It was very peaceful sitting there and shinning for everyone to see. It actually brought peace to me as I sat in traffic on the 210 fwy.

Valentine's Day
Today is Valentines day. Before we had kids, Andres and I use to go off somewhere to celebrate Valentine's day. I know this will sound corny but we realized we fell in love with each other on this day. It was the first year we started dating and we went down to Baja for the weekend. During this trip, we both felt emotions that were unexpected. I had never felt so at peace and so genuinely happy before. As this day means the world to me because I found my true love, my beautiful daughters gave me a wonderful gift. Two little bears with flowers made by my kids and the love of my life.

Tessa and poker chips
Tessa found her Daddy's poker chips. They were under the TV cabinet and she found them so appealing. She decide to play with them and feed them to her horsey and her sister. Luckily, Sienna did not find them appetizing but her horsey had a different taste. Tessa place them all in his basket and said "its dinner time!"

Hsi Lai Buddha Temple
We spent a few hours today at the Buddha temple in Hacienda Heights. It rained off and on but it was a nice day at the temple. They are still celebrating Chinese New Year so the temple is decorated with lots of color and festivities. The girls loved running around in courtyard and watching people throw red ribbons up into the wishing tree.

Celebrating Life
This evening Andres and I went to celebrate a life that was short lived. He was an artist with a very troubled soul. He was looking for a place to escape despite his very close family ties. He was a son, father and friend to many who knew him. Despite the love he had in his life from his family and kids he left us early and I hope he found the peace he sought.

Tug -O-War
The girls really do love playing with each other. As I arrived home today, both girls were eating lunch. They screamed, "Mama!" I said hello and they finished their lunch. Towards the end Sienna took off her bib and gave it to Tessa. Tessa pulled it from her and gave it back to her and initiated a tug-o-war.

SNAKES!!
Tessa's Daddy and Me class had a visitor today, Mr Valentine's traveling zoo. He brings all types of exotic animals to children's classes. He brings a wallaby, lizards big and small, tarantulas, snakes, opossum and even a hedgehog. The girls had a blast. Tessa was a dare devil and had a snake around her neck. She carried him for a while and then passed it on to her Daddy. I guess her Daddy doesn't like snakes:).

Saying Goodbye
I hate saying good-bye. We had such a great time this past weekend. It was much too short. Tessa as some of you know hates saying good-bye too. So instead she just ignores you and either walks away and plays with something else or hides by her Daddy to avoid it. I don't blame her. I will miss my friend as I know the girls will miss theirs. Ciao Gina, Bella and Mia we will see you soon.
