On and Off

Sienna has discovered that she can turn lights on and off. This morning I caught her taking her stool to reach the light switch and turning the lights in our bedroom on and off. It was really funny because she was so excited.

Going to Dinner

Tonight Andres and I went to dinner with some friends. They were a couple that was thanking him for taking some really nice pictures of their wedding the weekend before. On our way to Pasadena, we caught the sun setting.

Summer Time is Here

It is time to hit the pool everyone. Today was our first day out in the pool. The whole family came over and we took a dip to beat the heat. The girls had a great time but we need to buy them some floaters.

California History Museum

Today we spent the day at the California History Museum in LA. They have a butterfly exhibit that is wonderful for the kids and great for photographers. Did you know that the life expectancy of a butterfly is two weeks?! At the exhibit, they bring in new butterflies every two weeks to replenish the ones that have passed away.

Birthday party for Miguel

Today we celebrated Miguel's 14th birthday. The girls had a blast with his balloons, pinata, cake and candy.

Tessa loves her milk. Today she decided to show me she could drink her milk without holding on to her sippy cup. The outcome was spilled milk on the floor. Nice try Tessa!

Tessa's first Hair Cut

Today Tessa received her first haircut. We had not cut her hair in over 3 years. She was such a good sport about it. She sat in the chair and watch a video and didn't move at all.

Tessa and her shoes

Tessa has a wonderful spirit. She is truly her own person. Today she decided she wanted to wear a pair of shoes that matched. If you look closely, you will see that these two shoes do match in shades but they are different colored shoes.

Pizza celebration

Today we are celebrating Father's Day. You may ask why we are celebrating it 2 days earlier but Andres is shooting a wedding this Sunday and will not be around for Father's Day. So we choose today to honor this every special man in our lives. We made his favorite dish Pizza. Everyone made their own and Andres being a wonderful father and husband cooked them for us. I can not begin to say how bless the girls and I are. We have a wonderful, wonderful man in our lives that is full of passion, love and spirit. He is our hero.

This is Tessa. She asked me to take a picture of her and when I was ready she placed Zebra in front of the camera.

Sienna in the morning

You maybe wondering why in the past few days are only pictures of Sienna. Well, her sister Tessa seems to be a bit camera shy. I asked Sienna to pose and she said NO! but I caught her anyway.

Sienna sings

Sienna loves to sing in the car. One of her favorite songs is Old McDonald. As we waited for her Daddy to come back to the car, Sienna sang to Tessa and I.

Popcorn and a movie

Today we had a movie day. We watched "the Land Before Time" since Tessa really loves dinosaurs. Sienna's favorite thing is popcorn at the moment. She really loved sharing it with her favorite guy, Daddy!

Sidewalk Chalk

The girls are getting so close. Today they decided to decorate our front driveway with sidewalk chalk. They both grabbed the box and walked out together to create a masterpiece or at least scribbles:).

Last day of Class

Today is the last day of class for the girls. They really loved this class taught by Mrs. Nancy. Sienna especially has come out of her shell. She is an artist at heart and loves to create things. Today she decided to do what she loves best which is painting.

Stickers

Sienna loves to put stickers on me. Today she decided to decorate my hand with her stickers.

Mud

Tessa loves mud because she can go searching for worms and bugs. She is such a tom boy. Any animal is fascinating to her.

Balance Beam

Sienna loves to play at the park. She is getting so brave hanging out by herself on the balancing beam.

Her Eyes

Tessa has the most beautiful eyes. They are big and bold and she has the longest lashes ever.

Baby Shower fun

We had a great time at Maggie's baby shower today. The girls had the best time cleaning up and chasing the streamers as they fell from the ceiling.

Diaper Cake

Tomorrow we are celebrating Orlando and Magggie's baby shower. I made them a diaper cake for their shower.

Sharing

The girls love to share. Sienna does not like cold things. So she gave her Popsicle to her sister.

Good Morning

Tessa and Sienna love to watch TV on big chair in our room every morning. Today they were watching Mia and Miguel on PBS.

It's a Boy!

Today we went to do our genetic counseling and had an ultrasound. This was not our first ultrasound but it was our first time we had asked what we are having. The doctor did the ultrasound and did his measurements. The baby had its legs crossed so he could not initially see what was going on down there. Suddenly, the baby moved slightly and there in the mist was what seemed to be a penis. "Its a boy", he said, "congratulations." We were really excited and kind of in shock because we both thought it would be a girl. Andres sent me some flowers earlier in the day to say that he loves me and is excited about our new adventure. It is going to be awesome!
